Shops take to the streets

The arrival of spring invites us once again to enjoy the trade shows as well as street and recreational activities being held in several of the city's neighbourhoods and which are open to everyone.

This spring will see several of Barcelona's shopping hubs holding trade shows and free outdoor activities to boost and publicise the neighbourhood's commercial establishments The planned activities for this period, from April to July, will be held over the weekends, aimed at attracting not just locals but residents of other parts of the city too. The programme will include cultural, charity and culinary activities.

Enjoying support from Barcelona City Council through its districts, street trade shows provide an opportunity for visitors to discover the breadth and diversity of the range of products and services offered by local commerce and to treat themselves to a festive and recreational day that has seen a high level of commercial participation and an excellent response from the public for many years.   It should be pointed out that such initiatives enable the local commercial network to act as a truly cohesive platform for enriching positive community interaction among the public and boosting the commercial activity of the city's neighbourhoods.
